The cabin doesn’t have a TV hookup, but it has a smart TV with Netflix and DVD/Blu-ray, a variety of movies to choose from or guests can bring their own or rent a Red Box.
There’s also hiking trails behind the cabin with creek and waterfalls which would make an excellent hike or enjoy sitting around a campfire (wood is available to use). The hot tub seats 7 people and is available all year long.

The cabin has a queen-size bed in the loft and a fold-out couch for 1 couple or small family. The kitchen is fully equipped with dishes, utensils, and pots and pans for the nights you want to cook “at home” and snuggle up in front of the wood-burning stove.
There are two grills available for guests to use—the hot tub is right outside, as well as a fire ring—and also a flat-screen TV with local cable, Blu-ray player (bring your own movies!), wireless high-speed internet is available at no cost, and cell service is good.
The base rate for Red Hickory is based on 2 guests staying; each additional guest is $25 per person per day (with a 2-night minimum stay). The driveway is long but manageable—four-wheel drive is preferred transportation, however front-wheel drive will work too.

The cabin is off-grid, so it’s solar-powered and requires guests to bring their own food, ice and firewood. There are strict fire safety rules in place; open fires of any kind are not allowed on the property. The cabin provides a peaceful retreat from the city, and a great spot to enjoy the surrounding nature and wildlife.
The cabin is powered by a solar-panel system with generator back-up support—and guests may be required to fill and start a small power generator located outside the cabin on certain days. Amenities include a wood-burning rock fireplace, flat screen TV (with DVD player), etc.
